Trenchmate celebrates a decade in business

·2 min read

This year, Trenchmate turns ten. It’s a milestone worth acknowledging, but if you know us, you’ll know we’re not particularly interested in putting ourselves in the spotlight.

In fact, you’ll rarely see our directors or GM front and centre. That’s because we’ve always believed Trenchmate is about our people, our customers and the work we do together, not the people at the top.

So, as Trenchmate turns ten, we’d rather shine the light on the people who make it happen every day.

The Trenchmate team in the workshop, building, maintaining and getting equipment ready for customers. The people in the office, keeping everything moving. The drivers of our Trenchmate trucks. And the sales team, working alongside our customers on site to solve problems and help keep their projects moving. That’s the heart of Trenchmate.

And then there are our awesome customers and suppliers – the businesses and people who have trusted us, worked alongside us and kept coming back. Some have been with us since day one – something we’re incredibly proud of. Without that support, Trenchmate simply wouldn’t be where it is today, so thank you.

We won’t spend too long looking backwards – we’re much more interested in what’s ahead – but there are a few milestones we’re pretty proud of.

We’ve grown from a business serving the North Island to now supporting customers across the South Island. We’ve continued to develop and manufacture equipment that solves real problems in the industry, from our versatile Versa Boxes and Octaboxes (link to that website page) to innovative environmental solutions such as the GN Solids Waste Recycling Plant (link to that website page).

Ten years in, what we’re most proud of is the business we’ve built around good people, good customers and a genuine desire to do things well. For the next decade, we’ll keep our heads down, keep listening to our customers, keep finding better ways to solve problems and keep building equipment that makes a difference on site.

And, of course, we’ll keep doing it with the people who make Trenchmate what it is.

Here’s to the next ten years.
